Victorian 19th-century Pressed Leaf Painting - Landscape Scene with Verse. An original mid-19th-century painting with watercolour and pressed leaf. An unusual and highly decorative Victorian collage combining painted background landscape scene with real pressed leaves and flowers as trees and foliage. Cut to a circle shape and laid down on backing paper.

This is one of a pair that we have for sale (see stock codes JM-421 and JM-422). Initialled and inscribed in the centre. In remarkably good condition for its age.

The picture may have minor imperfections, such as slight marks, toning or foxing, commensurate with age. Please see photos for detail. 15.6cm x 15.6cm.
