Tadeusz Was'Mother and Child' Oil/impasto/mixed media. Typical Was, Oil over a thickly textured emulsion. 14 x 17 inches unframed 26 x 29 inches framed Collectors will know this guy's story, but basically having been captured during the Second World War, he escaped and ended up in Nantwich in a displaced persons camp where he became camp painter and decorator.
He went on to teach art at Crewe College of Art and had several exhibitions.
