SECRET HAUNTS' Circa 1979- 85. CONSTRUCTIVIST COLLAGE: Acrylic Paint, Paper, Ink, Cloth, Crayon, foil, Museum Board, Tissue, Beads. Peter Stanziale was born in Orange, New Jersey in 1948 and although he ran away from New Jersey in 1969 it has always been tied to his tail. All people from New Jersey are cheated yet they wear their heart on their sleeve.

Peter now lives in rural Maine in 1979 he began to work in the medium of collage after being inspired by a friend. He was always as inveterate collector one of his mother's contributions to him. She engendered on him a love for'junk', for society's castings. May parents will die when the attic caves in on them. Art is an ecclectic endeavor yet when one slices up anything small enough one finds that it is able to relate to something else. These collages are a kind of formalized cubism, images it is difficult to take oneself too seriously in art after Duchamp as it is difficult to take oneself too seriously in literature after Joyce or Proust. Stanziale's Artwork is infected with homage to the poets, writers, scientist, painters and musicians who have furthered their fields. 30 ¾ " Width x 37 ½ " Height x 1 Depth. Excellent condition, without any repairs, untouched, there are some chips on some wood assemblage and some cracks that could be intentional and original from the creation.
