Peter Max unique painting on sono tube (the only one he ever created) from 1988. Medium: Acrylic, marker, ink and other medium on sonotube. Features various writing by Max on the painting in acrylic and pen such as, Save a Tree; I Love the World and includes all of his iconic images & characters: trees, hidden faces, monks, sail boats, etc. From his cosmic 60s to through the 80s.
Painting size (tube) is 96 X 16. The lighted base adds 8 to the height and has a diameter of 22. The base was custom built for this piece when it was originally painted.
It manually rotates so that you can change the view of the painting and lights up this fabulous painting / sculpture from the bottom. The base has since been fully rebuilt, wired & updated with LED lights, etc. Peter told me that this was the only one he ever painted. He mentioned that it was done for and used on the set of a TV show - unfortunately I can't remember which show. #6539 Peter Max 1988 Signed and dated, 1988.
