Irish Art Abstract Mixed Media Painting on Linen Cloth. This is an unusual piece of abstract artwork on thick linen cloth by Irish artist Ken Giles. The item is signed to the lower middle and also dated; 2022.

To the rear the artist has titled the piece,'CARPET BAGGER' and is also signed and dated the item. Ken Giles was born in 1954 and studied at the Ulster University, gaining a BA Hons Degree in Art and Design. He has a studio in Ballyhackamore, East Belfast, and aside from painting has worked in interior and clothing design. A self-described abstract and figurative artist, Giles' work is centred more on texture than subject. He has exhibited with Gormley's in Belfast, Gilmore's in Holywood and Melbourne Gallery in Australia.

His work is also held in private collections in Dublin, London and New York. Ken was accepted three times for exhibit in the RUA. The item is mounted and held within a modern deep set black wooden frame, which is also glazed. All fixtures and fittings are to the rear ready for hanging.
