Mid-East 60s Abstract Mixed Media Calligraphic Print

Unusual unique print combining elements of Middle-Eastern calligraphy, paint, gold leaf, and metal rivets. This print shares the same stylistic elements of Middle-Eastern and Iranian modernism that was prevalent in the late 1950s through the late 1970s that combined elements of modern and popular culture with traditional forms of Middle-Eastern art such as calligraphy. The work by prominent members of the modern movement in Iran and the Mid-East (such as Marcos Grigorian, Mohammad Ehsai, Siah Armajani, and others) have become exceptionally desired and have sharply escalated in value. This work on paper combines printed calligraphic verses and abstract images (they appear to be relief prints), gold paint, gold leaf, and metal rivets.

It appears to be a unique print and not a multiple. It does not appear to be signed. It is in good condition with some soiling, creases on the upper corners of the paper, and a slight tear on the lower right margin, and remains of mat tape on the side and upper margins. 22" x 13.5" (paper size).
