MARK HALSEY (b. 1961) Original Mixed Media Painting of Male & Female Nudes

Original mixed media, wood stain and oil, life study painting depicting standing male and female nudes in an abstract figurative style, entitled'Couple 1' this work is by award-winning English artist Mark Halsey b. Mark Halsey was born in Hull, East Yorkshire and studied art at the Hull College. He initially worked as a decorative designer while gaining recognition as a portrait painter and developing his style as a figurative artist. His work was increasingly shown in regional galleries in the north of England enabling him to make art his profession. In 1998 he won an award at the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts Open Exhibition which led to him showing at The Gallery, Manchester's Art House, which then became his my main gallery for a 5 year period leading to numerous solos shows, prolific sales in major art fairs in London and Dublin, and numerous commissions for corporate clients.
