Judy WILLOUGHBY 20th Century Mixed Media West Cornwall Landscape

Original mixed media painting by named artist. A stunning work, beautifully capturing the rugged moorland of Penwith, West Cornwall.

Judy, painter, printmaker and teacher who studied at Northampton School of Art, 1966-8; Birmingham College of Art and Design, 1968-70; City of Leicester Polytechnic, 1970-1; and Bristol Polytechnic, 1987-8; she gained a diploma in fine arts (honours) and her art teacher's diploma. Willoughby taught groups widely across the country and ran her own printmaking workshop in Somerset. Her colourful realist-towards-abstract work was based on West Country, southern European and North African locations. Commissions included textile designs for Laura Ashley, 1989; painting commission for National Westminster Bank, Bristol, 1992; and a Tree for Life, Somerset Health Trust, 1994-5. Among her group shows were the Printmakers' Council, from 1988; The Railings Gallery, 1991; RA Summer Exhibition, 1993; Yeovil Arts Centre, 1994; and Attendi Gallery, 1999.

Presented in a wooden frame and under glass, overall in good colour and condition, the frame showing wear in places.
