Groucho Marx Portrait Mixed Media Original This is an original work after a photograph by Richard Avedon C1972. This multiple portrait is carried out in a variety of media and styles. At the top left is a cut-out backed with graph paper and collaged red stickers, top right is a pencil drawing with small coloured marks.

Centre right is a half tone dot treatment and the main portrait is a tonal study using very fine repeat marks. The work is on paper mounted on card, the reverse of which is a theatrical poster with a scrap of paper from the work which bears the date 2/10/73.
