Superb, large original mixed media painting on board, depicting racing yachts on choppy seas, entitled'Boat 52' this original atmospheric work is by the exhibited British contemporary artist Gill Storr. Gill Storr was born in London, where where she studied Fine Art and went on to co-found a global design and marketing agency. In 2019 she became a full-time professional artist, and describes her work as'deconstructed photography', incorporating multiple layers of a photographic image with a range of mediums including oils and acrylics.

Much of her work focuses on sailing, due to the influence of her family history, which has connections to the King's Bargemaster of the early 1900s and more recently the Cambridge University Boat Club. She is a notable figure in the contemporary art scene with her works featuring in numerous private collections in the UK and USA.
