Original mixed media still life painting depicting a cup of tea on a table beside a vase of flowers, by the highly collectable contemporary Scottish artist Emma Davis. Emma Davis was born in 1975 and studied at the Glasgow School of Art. After graduating she exhibited at a number of Scottish galleries, culminating in a sell-out show. She was the youngest winner of the Alexander Graham Munro Travel Award, awarded at the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours (RSW) in 1999, which enabled her to travel extensively in Italy during 2000, and then exhibit her paintings of Italy at the annual RSW exhibition in 2001. She is an elected member of the RSW and was awarded the Sir William Giles art award at the RSW annual exhibition in 2002.
Today she is represented by the Whitewall Galleries. Beautifully framed, glazed and ready to hang, in a painted bold moulded gallery frame with white wooden slip. Frame size 54.5cm x 54.5cm approx. 21 1/2 inches x 21 1/2 inches.
The painting is in excellent condition. The frame has some minor, insignificant marks and losses to the paint, see images above, otherwise it is in excellent condition.
