Well painted and striking original mixed media painting, by Alex M? Depicting an imposing figure standing backstage at a cello recital, he looks directly at the viewer, while behind him the cellist is on stage, performing within a multi tiered concert hall. Signed verso and dated 1995, signed a second time of the backboard of the frame and dated 1996. As yet I have been unable to identify the artist, but clearly they are an accomplished hand. Acrylics, pencil and coloured crayons on Fabriano 100% cotton, heavy weight wove paper (made in Italy) ; in the original golden oak, solid wood frame, with a single mount, acid free mount. Image size 73cm x 54.5cm; frame size 107.5cm x 84.5cm. Painting in excellent original condition, with strong, fresh colour (see photos), frame also in excellent condition, mount clean (see photos).
