Photo offset on wove paper, laminated to 5 die-cut cardboard elements, stainless-steel wire, nickel-plated fasteners, appr. 19,6 x 16,6 in, unnumbered edition, size unknown (some say 3000), dated, titled and monogrammed in print on the reverse of the mouse. There is one small spot on the basis, the mouse itself is a little darker, although the edition has always been stored in a drawer. Besides it shows minor scuffing on the edges. Please also refer to the pictures, of which the first one is a stockfoto and doesn't show the item offered here! The Scale D mouse was intended to be the most populous of all Mice. Produced in an "unlimited edition, " Scale D was in fact limited to a single production of 3,000 manufactured in 1971.Packaged as a consumer item, sealed in plastic shrink-wrap, the Scale D Mice were intended to circulate within the stream of other commodities and infiltrate society much as household mice do. Due to the age and nature of these artworks all copies exhibit small rust or time stains to the "base" of the work and an occasionally to the "face" of the Mouse.
