CHRISTO mixedmedia on Shoeller cardboard of 70's

: VALLEY CURTAIN PROJECT mixed media on Shoeller cardboard, some notes and sign at verso, some stamps, unframed. He was born in Gabrovo, Bulgaria, on June 13, 1935, from the union of Vladimir Javaev, entrepreneur, and Cveta Dimitrova, secretary of the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia where he will study from 1953. In 1956 he finished his studies and moved to Prague from where, the following year, he managed to escape from the regime of the communist block reaching Austria.

From here he moved first to Vienna, then to Geneva, and then, in 1958, to reach Paris. There, considered stateless, he was on the margins of society and made a living by making portraits, which he signed with the name of his family "Javacheff".

His first works signed "Christo" are abstract paintings and the packaging of objects bottles, bins, cartons, tables etc. Or living models in canvas or plastic. These works arouse interest in friends, including Arman and Yves Klein, with whom he will join the Nouveau Réalisme movement. Color fidelity of photos presented is not guaranteed. Lack of a condition statement does not imply that a lot is perfect.
