Chris Sharp was born in Aberdeen, spent much of his early life in Africa, returning to his home city to study art first at Aberdeen College of Commerce where he completed a course in Graphic Design, then subsequently at Grays School of Art, where he studied sculpture and Fine Art for four years. Since then, Chris has focused his talents on depicting field sports and game fishing, and has made a name for himself through his meticulously detailed and highly accomplished portraits of salmon in their natural habitat.
Drawing inspiration from the landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, he strives to capture the dance of light and shade that makes this land so rich and unique in all its moods and seasons. Prices that works by this artist achieve can be seen here.
