Framed size 46cm x 38cm. Presented in original mount and frame. Charles MacQueen was born in Glasgow and studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1958 to 1962. After a successful career teaching art, he retired in 1990 to become a full-time artist.
Colour and surface texture are very important elements in his paintings. His forms are forms from remembered experiences or dreams and they are an evocation rather than a representation. This internationally acclaimed artist has won many prestigious awards including the Torrance Award. His work can be found in private and corporate collections worldwide.
