In 1911, he exhibited in Munich; these works then showed a clear cubist influence. He was mobilized during the First World War.After the armistice, he lived in Paris, and set up his studio in Montmartre, in the Hameau des Artistes, between the Rue Lepic and Junot Avenue, which is where he died. He exhibited his paintings in Paris, Munich, Brussels, Geneva, Italy, Stockholm, London and New York. He is now represented in numerous public and private collections, including the Museum of Modern Art of Paris, in the museums of Le Havre, Rouen, Saint-Etienne, Amsterdam and Tunis.
