Attributed To Helen Mary Therese Grunwald ARCA British/Austrain Mixed Media

Grunwald was a Jewish artist born in Vienna in 1925. Along with her mother she fled Austria in 1939 to escape the Nazi invasion. After settling in Britain she would go on to study under Henry Carr at the Beckenham School of Art from 1941-44, and then under Carel Weight at the Royal College of Art from 1949-52.

Some minor losses and scuffs, mainly to the lower left corner. Distress and some wear to the frame, slight gaps to the corners. 42 x 33.7 cm overall.
