Antique German KARL DANNER Black Forest Johannisberg 3D Mixed Media Paintings
These are incredible antique mixed media paintings and are very rare! They are hand-painted on the round black forest plaques with Johannisberg mountain scenes, and there are 3-dimensional wood pieces in the form which have been crafted into a mountain trail with railings that lead to a cabin.
The Johannisberg mountain is in the Glockner Group of the High Tauern, a mountain range of the Central Eastern Alps in Austria. The backside is marked: Karl Danner - Johannisberg Penzberg. Their exact age is unknown, but likely 1950 or earlier. Each circular painting has a hook on the top for hanging. Dimensions: 10.75" diameter x 4" depth.
Pieces are missing such as (but not limited to) the front roof of one and there are some railing loose and/or missing. These are 3-D and made of real wood, so it's natural that some of this didn't make it over the years from storage, transport, etc.
