20thC Kent Landscape Original Mixed Media Alfred Hackney Rochester Medway Cobham
A wonderfully vibrant landscape painting, titled on the back with the artist's details, Alfred Hackney, RWS, ARE, DA (Edin). Alfred Hackney (1926 - 1994). Born in Yorkshire, educated at Burslem School of Art, the Edinburgh from where he won a travelling Scholarship to Europe. He taught at the Willesden School of Art, and later the Medway College of Art in Rochester, living nearby in Cobham. There is no date, nor a specific indication of where the view is, but this is a terrific, strong painting, the paint left a little thicker in places to give the image even more body. It would frame up nicely. Size: the mount measures 59cms x 46.5cms.
The sheet itself (measured on the back), 45cms x 31cms. Condition: In a good condition. I have other art, prints, maps, books etc.
