Vintage SYLVIA BIRCH HALPERIN'Frame I' ABSTRACT Mixed Media COLLAGE Listed

This is really a wonderful original. I recently acquired a collection of the works on paper of well listed Chicago artist Sylvia Birch Halperin. The works come from the family of the artist. It is mostly her collage and print work. For those not familiar with the artist, I have included her biography below.

Lithograph, paper collage and hand coloring on paper with the image measuring 22 x 16 1/2 inches on complete original sheet measuring 30 x 22 inches. Signed and dated lower right corner. Collage and color by hand 3/84' in pencil lower center and numbered 27/55 lower left.

Collage is in excellent condition as it was created. An incredible work that would look even better in a proper matte and frame.

She participated in juried shows, had one and two person shows and group shows. Her artwork has been represented by Jan Cicero Gallery Chicago, IL; Kathryn Markel Fine Art Ltd New York, NY; Neill Gallery New York, NY; and Baum-Silverman Gallery Los Angeles, CA.

Selected collections have been featured at establishments such as The Art Institute of Chicago; Israel Museum Jerusalem, Israel; Tel Aviv Museum Israel; Borg-Warner Corporation; Standard Oil Company; City of Chicago; University of North Carolina; and Blue Cross-Blue Shield.
