Vintage Sun Catcher Capiz Shell Ocean Sea Turtles Seal Coral Artist Wyland Rare This rare, vintage sun catcher is made of hand-painted Capiz shells, depicts Ocean Sea Turtles & a Seal swimming deep in the coral reef. The shell are set in gold color wiring and two rows of twisted gold tone wire border with the artist's name, Wyland framed at the bottom (see pictures).
Beautifully done with exquisite colors and attention being made to fine details. American artist Robert Wyland (born in 1956), has earned the reputation of being one of the most exceptional innovative influences, as well as an outspoken advocate for marine resource conservation.
Measures almost 10 in diameter. There is a small circular loop at the top for hanging. Previously owned, never used (so no sun exposure), excellent, pristine condition, like new.
