This is a rare, as-found, first-time offered 1937 original hand-colored architectural rendering of the Terrace & Tea House for St. Mary's Square" commissioned by the Down Town Association, City Planning Committee" dated 4-30-1937. Although not signed, this may be from the office of architect Gilbert Leong, period architect of the Kong Chow Temple. Rendering appears to be a photographic print [not traditional blueprint of the period] on single-weight satin-finish paper, with hand-rendered color applied to surface.
Print has been recently mounted to a foam-matte board with white Binders tape. Scale of rendering: 1/8" = 1'-0". Size of rendering: 17-1/2" x 8-1/2".
Size of overall mounting board: 20" x 10". Has been protected over the years with little to no surface damage; single vertical crease at center; no apparent tears or repairs; cosmetically- slight age wear; no foxing apparent; (see photos).
