Was an American children's author, political cartoonist, illustrator, poet, animator, screenwriter, and filmmaker. He is known for his work writing and illustrating several books under the pen name Doctor Seuss. The Cat in the Hat' and'Green Eggs and Ham' were among his most famous works. Original signed artwork of "The Cat in the Hat", done personally by Doctor Seuss. Item is on estimated 7 1/8" X 8 7/8" illustration paper (more like cardstock because of the thickness and above average quality).

However, the edges at the top part of paper are a bit rough. The biggest problem is the "signature" which apparently was cut improper and the two letters "ss" in Seuss pen name are missing. Quite rare to see but also disappointing because the art illustration itself is beautiful.

Item will be mailed well-protected. Have been collecting autographed memorabilia since 1978.
