Red Grooms is a painter, print-maker, and sculptor associated with the Pop Art movement and best known for his site-specific installations of cities and frenetic scenes of modern urban life. Besides painting and sculpture, Grooms is also known for his prolific printmaking. He has experimented with numerous techniques, creating woodblock prints, spray-painted stencils, soft-ground etchings, and elaborate three-dimensional lithograph constructions. Grooms work is included in several museum collections, including the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, the Fort Worth Art Museum in Texas, and the Moderna Museet in Stockholm.
