Rare Vintage'BAKER LIBRARY DARTMOUTH College MARQUETRY Wood Inlay Panel PICTURE

ORIGINAL VINTAGE'BAKER LIBRARY' of DARTMOUTH COLLEGE RARE WOOD MARQUETRY INLAY WOOD PANEL. This is a great piece. I bought a pair of these Dartmouth College marquetry inlaid panels from a local estate and have been trying to figure out more about them. I thought I would be able to find others on the market but surprisingly, I have not found another example anywhere.

On the back of the piece is the original label that says "The beauty of this hand made picture results from the natural colors and grainings of carefully selected woods from all parts of the world". Then there is a list of the woods that are used and my research shows that many of these are exotic premium woods. Just a beautiful wood panel with the full panel measuring 15 3/4 x 13 1/4 inches. The inlay frame measures about 10 1/2 x 8 inches. Truly a beautiful example of inlay.

Overall in excellent condition with some minor scratches to the wood but nothing too bad. Really a beautiful scarce piece of Dartmouth memorabilia.
