RARE After Edgar DEGAS Mixed-media Print/Paper Circa 1920sDANSEUSE SALUANTCOA
This piece comes with an ORIGINAL SIGNED Certificate of Authenticity from renowned world famous art appraiser BRETT MALY of Art Encounter in Las Vegas, Nevada. Brett is a regular art expert on the popular hit TV series PAWN STARS. Here is the description as listed in the COA. The print depicts a young dancer putting on her ballet shoes. As was typical of his ballet oeuvre, the composition is un-posed and quasi-voyeuristic. The work features superficial acid burns along it's edges and minor staining within the composition, but the composition and overall aesthetic remain undisturbed. Provenance: Obessed by the ballet, Edgar Degas created hundreds of paintings, drawing sculptures like the subject. The print was created "after" Degas, circa 1920's, and was originally in the collection of actress and singer Deanna Durbin.
