I loved it so much, yet I didnt have any idea of how to use it. One night we built a massive bonfire from a rotting tree we cut down by the bayou. I mourned the tree, but was in awe of this fire. Huge flames licked up from the wood into the starry night.

In the fire I imagined dancing figures and suddenly I knew I had to create this. What better mosaic in a gorgeous mantle than a fire dancer? So here she is, with rocks and shells and insects surrounding her. The fireplace mantle is very old, very antique, and full of imperfections and Id have it no other way. So please note these imperfections in the pictures.
