Folk Art Mixed Media Vintage Memory Collage Hanging SHADOWBOX Handmade22 Scenes

This is just an incredible folk art vintage memory piece. There are 22 scenes in different sized boxes. Some of the scenes depict holidays-Christmas, Valentines Day, Easter-and some illustrate everyday life-weddings, playgrounds and ice skating.

This artist had an amazing imagination. It the center in a large square is a Christmas scene.

There is an angel band in front of a pasted on picture of Mary, the Christ child and more angels. Attached to each side of the box are two hanging angels. In front is the caterpillar figure from Alice in Wonderland! In the box above are tiny figures in 19th.

Century clothes with a gold carriage in front of a painting of a crumbling cabin. The boxes are trimmed in gold paper and the sides, top and bottom have green felt. The outside also has buttons.

The main part of the box is 18 x 18 square. The end pieces on each corner make it 21 x 21. Some of the gold trim is torn and the felt is worn but the figures seem to be intact.
